Powder brow preparation

Permanent makeup services (including microblading, powder brows, and lip blushing) are NOT RECOMMENDED for clients with any of the following:

  • Pregnant and/or nursing

  • History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure

  • Poor general health

  • Uncontrolled or poorly controlled diabetes

  • Chemotherapy

  • Viral infections or diseases

  • Epilepsy

  • Pacemaker or major heart problems

  • Organ transplant

  • Skin irritations or psoriasis near treatment areas (including rash, acne, sunburn, etc.)

  • Sick (cold, flu, etc.)

  • Accutane within the past 12 months

  • Botox within the past 2 weeks

*Any treatment, medication, illness, or other health condition that compromises the immune system or healing would NOT make you a good candidate for PMU.

Please adhere to the following before your appointment:

  • DO NOT take Aspirin, fish oil, Niacin, Vitamin E, or ibuprofen for 3 days prior to your appointment. Tylenol is fine.

  • DO NOT work out the day of your procedure.

  • AVOID sun exposure and tanning for 1 week prior to your appointment.

  • STOP using Glycolics, Retin-A or Retinol products 3 weeks before scheduled appointment

  • DO NOT use AHA skincare products on or near treatment areas for 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after your procedure

  • If you have had any cosmetic surgical procedures on your face, please WAIT 2 MONTHS to fully heal prior to your appointment

  • DO NOT consume alcohol for 24 hours prior to your appointment. This will prevent excess bleeding, oozing, and minimize swelling

  • If there are any open wounds, pimples, bruising, or other skin irritations, please wait for them to completely heal

  • DO NOT wax, thread, or tint for 1 week before your appointment

  • NO facials or chemical peels 1 week before scheduled appointment

  • PLEASE manually exfoliate your brow area 1 week before your treatment
